PreSys 2014 R1 Released with an Updated Geometry Engine
New Version Offers Improved Solid Meshing Functionality
Troy, MI—ETA is pleased to announce the availability of Version 2014 R1 of its finite element modeling software and system analysis plugins, PreSys and VPG. Available immediately through ETA and its worldwide distribution network, this version features an updated geometry engine, solid mesh improvement and advanced dynamics solutions for NISA.
The updated geometry engine provides precision and efficiency for geometry editing within PreSys. The user can edit geometry using a splitting, extending and project functions, improving the performance of the reading and rendering of native CAD models. The stitch function capability was expanded, making it available at any time via the user interface, to repair geometry topology and significantly improve overall mesh quality.
Users of PreSys can take advantage of improved solid meshing functions via dragging, sweeping and linear mapping. Mesh base entities were expanded to include surface, shell elements and solid element faces. Furthermore, additional methods and constraints were added to control the pattern of the solid mesh, allowing the user to seamlessly connect to the neighboring solid mesh.
Advanced dynamics capabilities from NISA are now available within the PreSys environment. These solutions include Transient Response, Random Vibration, Frequency Response and Shock Spectrum Analysis.
Within the VPG Modules, suspension generation was added, while pedestrian protection and seat deformation capabilities were improved.
Inventium 2014 R1 is the latest release of the Inventium software, which includes PreSys, and VPG Modules, Drop Test, FSI. A core solution for finite element analysis engineers, PreSys is a cost-effective software tool, which also interfaces with popular CAD software products such as CATIA, NX, ProEngineer, Solidworks and AutoCAD. It allows product development engineers and simulation specialists to access design data, quickly create complex finite element models and create insightful simulations.
Building upon its initial release in June of 2010 and another major release in 2012, PreSys now offers added functionality and broader potential with its 2014 R1 Release. The software tool is available on the Windows platform for 64-bit machines, directly through ETA and its distributor network. To find out more, please visit .
